Another meetup, another happy time

Thanks to those of you who showed up this past Tuesday @ the Royalton Hotel bar.

Even though the turnouts are small, it seems that those who can make it are really glad they did. I'll keep this up until either no one shows up or people don't find it useful.

Next month, Tuesday, January 4th might be a little too close to New Years and many of you might not be ready on the 4th, we can schedule it for the 11th instead.

Or there's Kari's suggestion of The Breslin, I know for dinner it's a bit pricey but haven't been there for drinks. Anyone know if it's a good spot in terms of places to talk and mid-priced drinks, maybe some bar food?

Next DM Meet up: Tuesday Dec 7th 7-9pm

This coming Sunday is the DM alumni/students holiday party @ 6.30pm. I'm sure you all got the email.

This coming Tuesday night is the next DM meetup. Come with your questions, deals for networking, ideas for new businesses, feedback about trends and events, complain about something in business/design/world, or just come have a drink and say hi.

Those are the tables. The first person of our group to arrive, get a table.

Anyone have any bar suggestions? If not, it's going to be the Royalton Hotel bar -- everyone meet up in the back by the tables.

Tuesday, December 7th is our next meetup. Looking for suggestions for a nice spot, not too pricey in midtown that's conveniently located to a lot of trains.

Good turnout for first meetup

There is no set agenda, and there is no hard start or stop on the time.

The time was selected to accommodate when most people get out of work and before many of the non-New Yorkers need to get on a bus/train home.

*Let me know if you have any other locations to suggest that would be good for the group. Generally expecting 5-20 people to chat, have a few drinks, spend not a lot of money, and then head out.

DM Meetup, November 2nd, 6.30pm-8.30pm

I still need to check out the hotel bar to see if it's a good space for us, in the meantime make sure to keep Tuesday, November 2nd (election day!!) from 6.30pm-8.30pm open for the next DM Meetup.

Since no one came to the first one, I expect a good turnout in November.

Also, please make sure to invite other DM alumnus and others who might be interested in talking DM, networking, needing input on design/business projects and catching up.
